Investment plan for Europe to support European silk sector ?

Philippe de Montgrand, President of Silk Section of AIUFFASS unveiled the “Towards European Sericulture” project, aiming to reintroduce the raw silk production in Europe. European Silk manufacturers as well as European Luxury brands are indeed very concerned by the long term access to high quality raw silk. President de Montgrand emphasized that “this long term project combines research, development and innovation on the industrial, agricultural and genetic levels.”
In this context, a delegation of industrialists from our association has had the opportunity to meet some EU officials from European Investments Bank, DG Grow and DG Research.
